Our Family Activity Center (FAC) provides free programming and events for families with children with special needs. It is a place to gain support and resources and to network with others. Join us!
Our Summer Activity Schedule is now available! Below are our ongoing weekly and monthly activities, along with upcoming speaker and one-time events. To the right on our sidebar, you'll find a PDF copy of the schedule. Feel free to share with your friends and family! Events marked with an * require registration. Tuesdays, 10-11:30 am - Parent Resource Time
Jennifer will be available to listen and to assist with your needs.
Wednesdays, 1:30-3:30 pm - Chatter and Scatter
For children with special needs through approximately age 6. Typically developing siblings and friends welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Parent Partners - Second Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 pm

Join us for coffee, networking and visiting with other parents about the joys and struggles of raising your child with special needs.
*Sibshops - Third Saturday of each month from 10-1 pm

A lively, pedal-to-the-metal celebration of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Registration is now open for our Sibshops! Registration is limited, so register today.
Sensory Storytime - Third Monday of each month from 10:30-11:30 am

A relaxed story time for parents and preschoolers that will include a related sensory activity.

Bring your young children and join Tami Zwicke, community artist, for an art adventure.
Fine Motor Frenzy - Fourth Monday of each month from 10:30-11:30 am

Join your children as they use “real life” objects to challenge their fine motor skills.
*Saturday, July 22 10-11:30 am - Wonderful World of Water
Come and enjoy our outdoor playgrounds while experiencing the movement of water and “beachy” sensory experiences. This is a free event, but RSVPs are encouraged. You can RSVP easily online here.
*Thursday, August 24 6-7:30 pm Speaker Event
Dori Buschke, Director of Programs at SFCC, will provide hints and strategies to get your child with special needs off to a comfortable and successful start to the new school year.
