St. Francis Children’s Center announces our 2019 Leading Lights Awards Banquet on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 5:30-8:30pm, in the Grand Hall of the Northwestern Mutual Tower and Commons. We, along with co-chairs John Florsheim of Weyco Group, Inc. and Scott Wrobbel of Deloitte, will honor a new crop of outstanding community leaders while raising funds for the quality education and therapy services that we provide to hundreds of children with special needs in our community. This year’s recipients are as follows:

John & Kim Schlifske of Northwestern Mutual will receive the Humanitarian Award.

Wanda Montgomery of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will be the recipient of the Children’s Service Award.

And Julia Taylor of the Greater Milwaukee Committee will accept the Community Service Award.

“We are excited to recognize four exceptional leaders for their commitment to community service. Every day, John and Kim Schlifske, Julia Taylor and Wanda Montgomery work tirelessly to build a better Milwaukee, one where children and families can thrive,” said Mara Duckens, Executive Director of St. Francis Children’s Center. “As we honor their work on October 8, we will also shine a light on the young heroes of St. Francis Children’s Center. Each year our Center serves 1,000 young people, the majority of whom have special needs. The determination, grit, and joyful spirits of the children in our care inspires our work, and that will take center stage at the Leading Light Awards Banquet.”

Tickets and sponsorship information for the Awards Banquet can be found on our website at www.sfcckids.org.
