St. Francis Children’s Center will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their annual Wine, Beer & Chocolate Tasting event on Saturday, April 21, from 7 pm to 10 pm at the Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront, 4700 North Port Washington Road, Milwaukee, WI 53212. This year’s event is presented by Rockwell Automation in partnership with Rockwell Automation employees and St. Francis Children’s Center board members, Dave Dorgan and Patty Roberts. All proceeds from the Wine, Beer & Chocolate Tasting will help to sustain and strengthen the nonprofit organization’s special education, therapy and support services for children with special needs or developmental delays.

“We are excited to announce our 25th Anniversary Wine, Beer & Chocolate Tasting event. The evening is great fun, and everyone who attends is supporting a terrific cause – high quality programs for children with special needs,” explained Mara Duckens, Executive Director of St. Francis Children’s Center. “This year, St. Francis Children’s Center turns 50 years old, so it is a double anniversary. Expect a great party!”

As in past years, the evening will feature samplings of fine wines, craft beers and gourmet chocolates. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a variety of beverages and chocolate treats while enjoying passed appetizers and live music from the 5 Card Studs. Guests can also participate in raffles, a wine pull and bid against each other on an extensive assortment of items during the silent auction. This year’s auction will feature mobile bidding to allow guests to keep track of their bids, set a maximum dollar amount on bids and receive updates when they have been outbid on an item.

Once again, guests will have the opportunity to upgrade to a VIP ticket for an enhanced experience at this year’s Wine, Beer & Chocolate Tasting. VIPs will receive exclusive access to the event from 6-7 pm, one hour before doors open to general admission ticketholders. During this time, VIP guests will also receive a commemorative glass, special beverage tastings including dark chocolate and chocolate mint brandies from Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates & Brandy, an appetizer tray with a wine glass holder and easier access to all the beverage and chocolate vendors.

General admission tickets are $50, and VIP tickets are $75, if purchased by Friday, April 13. For information on group rates, to purchase online tickets and for more information about the event, please visit our event webpage.
