St. Francis Children’s Center proudly presents “Creative Expressions,” an art gallery showcasing the artistic talents of everyone who is a part of the SFCC family.

The gallery event will take place on Saturday, November 4 from 1:30-3 pm here at St. Francis Children’s Center.

Stroll through our classrooms to view the wonderful artwork created by everyone at SFCC. In the Family Activity Center, a special workshop will be set up in which you and your family can create your own sock dolls with VSA Wisconsin (formally Very Special Arts) resident artist Sylvia Peine.

Our art gallery was inspired by the artwork that Sylvia created with Preschool South and Kindergarten West called “A Place Called St. Francis.” It is a representation of who we are as individuals at St. Francis, but that together we are one. The idea is based on the work of Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson and her work “A Street Called Home.”

We invite everyone who is a part of the SFCC family to showcase their artistic talents, including our program families, students, staff and friends! A special exhibit will be set up called “We are SFCC Families.” You can contribute to the exhibit by bringing in any artwork you or the members of your family have created. Art must be dropped off at the front desk by Wednesday, November 1 to be included.

From photography, paintings, drawings, sculptures… we are happy to include any of your creative expressions!

If you plan to attend the event, please RSVP to Kim Evans by Wednesday, November 1 via email.
